My doctors here have the online prescription renewal. I absolutely love it! I can type in what I need in the morning or late at night. I don't have to wait for office hours, when I'm too busy to get to the phone myself. If there is a problem at all, the office calls and leaves me a message to let me know, otherwise the prescription will be taken care of within a day or two. Obviously if it's the weekend, you wait.
