I like your blog just the way it is... a blending of everything. But it is for you first and it should satisfy you.

Interesting about the stats...they are addicting...even for the little bloggers. :)

I like them because it amazes me that people really do read what I write.

I just wish more took the time to comment because getting a comment is fun... like getting a postcard in the mail. :)

Well, as my name implies, I always wanted to be a surgeon when I grew up. My teaanage choices however carved out a new life for me. So, I read all you medical types because through you all, vicariously, I live.

Blogging grows up! You describe a maturing process others of us have experienced but never knew what to call it.

As Elie Weisel wrote: “Write only if you cannot live without writing. Write only what you alone can write.”

I hope we all discover the truth of this as the initial excitement of blogging gives way to the need to say something meaningful.

Would like to read some more about the ADHD. Convinced my partner that my youngest son has it - struggled through 2 years of school before I could convince anyone else. Meds have made a world of difference! In spare moments, my mind wanders down the path of "Where did it come from?" Is it me? I have my own moment s of distractability - but have always chalked those up to sleep deprivation, work overload. Have a brother-in-law who has been married 5 times - so maybe it comes from that side of the family. Physicians who write about their own medical issues is fascinating to me - it truly humanizes our profession. You have given me food for thought about my own neophyte blog. Keep up the good work!

I want your blog to stay just like it has been over recent months. It is such an excellent combination of all things serious, mixed with the right amt. of humor. You seem to not hold much back. When I read here I feel like I really know Dr. Rob as a person, whose daily moods are displayed by his post topics and content. Did any of that make sense?

As for not blogging for ourselves or we would not do it publicly, also makes sense, but there is an area in the middle. It seems like some of us go through phases with blogging. For me, I went through a year or so where I wanted a lot of readers, and I checked site meter like a crazy woman. It influenced my posts and the content of them. I was not in any way blogging for me during that time, but rather blogging for others and what I thought they wanted to read from me. It became more job than enjoyment.

At some point I stopped doing that. I now only blog when I want to, about what I want to. Having the readers is nice but it is not the reason I blog. I am now down to where I have a handful of faithful readers whose comments I value. If I wanted to change all that I would go back to doing it how I did the first year or year and a half. So, I guess I am some where in the gray area of the middle. Que Sera Sera...:)
