It snowed here for the first time in 8 years. Being an upstate New York boy, I had mixed emotions:
- I was thrilled to see it. I always loved snow as a kid and was glad to see my own kids enjoying it.
- My “snow snob” side snickered at the southerners stocking up on bread and water for 2-4 inches of snow. Where I grew up, they’d close school only for a day after 20 inch snowfall; here they close it if someone happens to say the word “snow.”
Overall, however, I really enjoyed partaking in the “snowpocalypse” that has gripped DC and other parts of the northeast. Speaking of which, please chime in on the latest poll:
